In this episode of Conversations With, Managing Director Peter Urbanowicz and Senior Director Jay Nagy will look at behavioral health care provision and payment at the State level. Specifically focused on how States and Medicaid have traditionally viewed payment for care provided in an “institution for mental diseases” (IMD) and new ways to pay for this care through Medicaid Demonstration projects.
They'll share their deep knowledge of IMD demonstrations, highlighting how states across the country have utilized IMD demonstrations to improve access to behavioral health services and strengthen crisis stabilization supports. They will also give a sneak peek at what’s on the horizon in this emerging area of behavioral health policy.
